Job summary

CityVet offers a Veterinarian Externship Program for third- and fourth-year DVM students to gain hands-on clinical experience in a veterinarian-led practice environment. Externs work with experienced teams, gaining exposure in small animal medicine, surgery, client communication and clinic operations.

Eligibility is limited to AVMA-accredited schools, with two-week blocks and a competitive stipend. Housing is not provided; international students may participate without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year DVM student at AVMA-accredited veterinary schools
• Externships provide structured clinical exposure with mentorship
• Externs work alongside veterinary teams to gain real-world experience
