Job summary

Group One Trading offers a Software Developer Intern position in Chicago, IL. You will be mentored by senior developers and gain hands-on experience with electronic trading systems built on the .NET platform using C#.

The internship covers exposure to a multi-platform tech stack, teamwork across locations, and a fast-paced, learning-focused environment. You will be mentored to understand equity options trading, contribute to real projects with traders, and develop skills in software development

Qualifications

Must be an active student during the Fall semester pursuing a BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Familiarity with a C-style object-oriented language: C#, Java, C++, or Objective-C.
Solid Computer Science and software development fundamentals.
Desire to learn and grow as a software developer.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues across different functional units and locations.

Responsibilities

Within 1 month, complete orientation, become familiar with our environment, infrastructure, and business.
Within 1 month, learn the roles and skillsets of your Dev teammates to discern best advice and information.
Within 3 months, engage and contribute directly to projects with real implications for our traders and company.
