Job summary

The DREAM Program seeks a part‑time Mentor Coordinator to support Village Mentoring efforts in Northern Vermont. You will train and recruit volunteer mentors, assess mentee needs with the Youth Services Manager, and ensure mentors receive resources and training for a high‑quality experience.

You will work 10–15 hours weekly in late afternoons and some weekends, attend weekly mentor meetings, and support the chapter for the full academic year. Living stipend and education award provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Age 17+ at commencement of service or 16+ as an out‑of‑school youth.
• Successful privacy and background checks including NSOPW, state repositories, and FBI fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure volunteer mentors understand Village Mentoring model and roles.
• Coordinate with Youth Services Manager for mentee needs assessments and partnerships.
• Provide resources and training to mentors for high‑quality mentoring.
• Build relationships with volunteers and mentees for chapter success.
• Manage recruitment, preparation for mentor term completions, and chapter wellness.
