The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties Inc. is seeking a compassionate Community Based Youth Mentor.
The role involves mentoring youth ages 7 to 18, advocating for their goals, and attending meetings with schools and social services as needed. This per diem position offers after-school hours (3:00pm-8:00pm) on weekdays and weekends as required, with duties including weekly meetings, trainings, and confidential documentation of progress.

The Youth Mentor will work directly with clients ages 7 to 18 to provide mentoring and advocacy services. In addition to being a positive role model for clients, the Youth Mentor is expected to assist clients in the realization of short and long-term goals that can be pursued and accomplished throughout the mentor-client relationship. When necessary, the Youth Mentor will attend official meetings involving the client and institutions such as but not limited to: the Department of Social Services, the Department of Probation and Parole and School meetings.

Pay Range: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Shift Schedule: (Hours will Vary) After school 3:00pm-8:00pm, Mon-Fri and weekends depending onprogram and youth needs.
