NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Mental Health Worker for Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) in the Psychiatry/Medicine unit. You will observe patients, document behaviors, and support the clinical team during evening shifts.

This on-site role requires at least one year in psychiatry or a similar field, a college education, and BLS certification. Strong communication and reliability are essential as you assist patients and record vital signs for the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year experience in psychiatry or related field.
Prior experience in a nursing support position preferred.
A college education.
A high school diploma.
Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
Strong communication skills and commitment to continued learning.
Successful completion of orientation.

Responsabilités

Observe and document patients' physical, emotional and social behavior.
Report as necessary to the nursing team.
Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and intervene during anxiousness.
Record vital signs and other important clinical information for the multidisciplinary team.
Assist patients with daily activities for the ECT services and 11North.
Work evenings Monday–Friday 3:30 pm–12:00 am with weekend coverage.
