Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Mental Health Worker for the Joshua Center Program at Natchaug Hospital. You will participate as an interdisciplinary team member, provide therapeutic interventions, and transport students between school, program, and home using the company vehicle.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years related experience, and a CT driver’s license with a clean record for 3 consecutive years.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with behavioral health clients preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years related experience required.
• Current CT Driver's license with a clean driving record for a minimum 3 consecutive years.
• Ability to obtain Public Service License "A" Endorsement within 90 days of hire, which requires passing pre-hire drug screen and DOT physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic interventions for clients as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center program and then to the student's home using a company vehicle.
• Floats to other Natchaug clinical sites: Danielson, Dayville, Groton, Norwich, Mansfield Center, Enfield and Vernon.
• Maintains telephone contact for scheduling and coordination, and supports program operations.

We offers a variety of programs including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools and chemical dependency services. Program Summary

Natchaug's Joshua Center Programs treat children as young as 6 and as old as 17 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care. Services Include: Comprehensive assessment, which may include: Comprehensive aftercare planning, family, group, and individual therapy, occupational and creative rehabilitation therapy. Natchaug Hospital provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center Program, and then to the student's home.

Job Summary

This position floats to other Natchaug clinical sites; Danielson, Dayville, Groton, Norwich, Mansfield Center, Enfield, and Vernon.
