Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in psychology or related field required.
• 5 years of recent behavioral health experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Job Overview :

The MHA will assist in carrying out the behavioral plan of care, such as diversional activities, while keeping the patient's safety at the forefront.

Qualifications :

Required :

• BA Degree in psychology or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of recent behavioral health experience.

Preferred :

• A minimum of one year of experience, training, or education in the field of treatment is preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable) :

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions) :

• Full-Time
• Night shift
• 37.5 hours per week

Essential Functions :

• Work under the direction of the RN to provide care for patients on the unit.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: taking vital signs, EKG, assisting or providing bedside care such as bathing, mouth care, and skin care.
• The MHA will also provide emotional support to behavioral patients.
