Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan in Michigan is seeking a Unit Secretary to coordinate the clerical and public relations functions of the unit. This role includes acting as receptionist, directing visitors, and supporting clinicians as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong clerical skills, and a valid Michigan driver's license. Experience as a psychiatric technician is preferred; hours are 3 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend rotation, from 9am to 9:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive general clerical skills are required.
• Experience working as a psychiatric technician strongly preferred.
• Valid Michigan Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Serve as unit receptionist, answering phone calls and directing visitors.
• Back up Mental Health/Behavioral Technicians and assist with patient care as needed.
• Monitor status of laboratory and other diagnostic tests ordered.
• Conduct daily chart audits to ensure documentation is present.
• Prepare charts for admissions.
• Distribute discharge paperwork to providers and referring agencies.
• File paperwork as needed.
