Job summary

Columbia Mental Health, a Transformations Care Network member, seeks Mental Health Therapists in Maryland to empower clinicians and expand access to behavioral health care. We support growth as therapists work toward licensure in a collaborative environment.

As a Therapist, you will provide outpatient therapy, develop safety and wellness plans, and collaborate with a clinical team to deliver holistic care while pursuing ongoing professional development and ethical practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
• Provisional license per state regulation if required.
• Educational background leading to professional licensing.
• Passionate about mental health and committed to high-quality care.
• Ongoing professional development including supervision and continuing education.
• Eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.
• Strong commitment to ethics and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Ability to manage time and complete documentation efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy tailored to each client.
• Develop crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Ensure timely billing, documentation, and insurance authorization forms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and administrative staff.
