Job summary

Skyland Trail seeks a Mental Health Therapist to provide coverage across adult and adolescent campuses, ensuring well-coordinated individual and group sessions in collaboration with Primary Counselors. You will help develop recovery plans, conduct sessions weekly, and support treatment teams with documentation and meetings.

The role requires a Masters degree in a related field, licensure eligibility, and experience with psychiatric illness; DBT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field (i.e., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) required.
• Eligible for license (provisional or full) required.
• DBT experience preferred.
• Prior training/experience with clients diagnosed with psychiatric illness and co-occurring substance use disorders preferred.
• Prior experience in residential and partial hospitalization/day treatment settings for individuals with psychiatric illness required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Primary Counselor or supervisor to ensure coverage is well organized and executed.
• Provide individual and group coverage; participate in treatment team meetings and documentation.
• Develops and revises recovery plans; conducts weekly individual sessions and reviews progress.
• Participates in recovery team meetings; communicates recovery goals and wellness plans.
• Leads and co-facilitates groups; documents in EHR and develops curricula as needed.
• Rotates through modality-specific groups to support group leaders.
