Job summary

A holistic therapy practice is seeking a remote Therapist to provide trauma-informed virtual psychotherapy. This role requires active licensure in DC, MD, and/or VA, along with a Master's degree in a related field. The ideal candidate has experience with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities and comfort with telehealth. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with other providers. The position allows for flexible scheduling and offers competitive pay and support for licensed clinicians.

Embracing Wellness PLLC is a Black woman-owned, trauma-informed, holistic therapy practice serving clients across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We specialize in culturally responsive mental health care with a focus on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, and marginalized communities.

Role Description

This is a full or part-time remote role for a Therapist at Embracing Wellness PLLC. The therapist will :

• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed virtual psychotherapy.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in SimplePractice (EHR).
• Use standardized measures to track client progress as clinically indicated.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and case consultation.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, PMHNPs, PCPs, and community providers.
• Contribute to practice-wide quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active licensure in DC, MD, and/or VA.
• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology.
• Trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive.
• Experience with BIPOC, immigrant, LGBTQIA+ communities preferred.
• Comfortable with telehealth & technology.
• Demonstrated history of strong professional accountability, punctuality, and respect for scheduling commitments.
• Capacity for autonomous, professional judgment, and predictable communication under pressure.
• Committed to ethical, anti-oppressive care.
• Successful background & reference check required.
