Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Hurricane, Utah is seeking a therapist for the Stabilization and Assessment program. You will work with acutely affected adolescent boys (12-17) and families, delivering short-term stabilization and in-depth assessment.

Responsibilities include weekend group therapy, small caseloads, DBT/TF-CBT/ACT based therapy, and strong collaboration with families and schools to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health discipline is required.
• Fully licensed: LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC, and associate licenses: CSW, AMFT, ACMHC.
• CAQH profile and NPI number must be obtained or in process.
• 1–2 years of preferred clinical experience in residential or youth treatment.
• Must pass a state background check.

Responsibilities

• Weekend group therapy to build coping skills and relationships.
• Maintain a small caseload of 1–2 clients for deep engagement.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using specified modalities.
• Coordinate care with families, schools, and providers.
• Maintain documentation reflecting treatment plans and outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, educators, and staff.
• Lead discharge planning and aftercare coordination.

Overview

Location: 65 N 1150 W, Hurricane Utah 84737 (On-site)

Salary:

• Associate/Provisional: $65,000 - 70,000 per year
• Fully Licensed: $70,000 - 80,000 per year

Schedule:

• Wednesday - Friday
  • 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday
  • Lead 2 groups, average 3-hour day

Join Embark’s Stabilization and Assessment Program in Hurricane, Utah. As a therapist, you’ll work with highly acute adolescent boys (ages 12-17) and their families through short-term stabilization and in-depth assessment. You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team that combines clinical excellence with genuine connection, helping teens and families move toward healing and lasting change.

Responsibilities

• Weekend group therapy: Conduct engaging group therapy sessions that build coping skills, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and peer connection.
• Small caseload: Hold 1-2 clients to support deep therapeutic relationships and consistent clinical engagement.
• Therapeutic services: Provide individual, family, and group therapy using DBT, TF-CBT, ACT, Smart Recovery, and Seeking Safety. (Paid training provided!)
• Care coordination: Partner with families, schools, and providers to implement, monitor, and adjust individualized support plans.
• Client follow-through: Maintain accurate documentation, track clinical progress, and ensure clients receive needed services and interventions.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, educators, and program staff to align treatment goals and daily care.
• Documentation compliance: Complete timely, compliant clinical records that reflect treatment plans, interventions, and measurable outcomes.
• Discharge & aftercare: Lead clients through discharge planning, coordinate aftercare resources and ensure continuity of support.
• Therapeutic presence: Build trust with adolescents through consistent boundaries, compassion and authentic connection.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree: Master’s in a behavioral health discipline required.
• Fully licensed: LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC.
• Associate licensed: CSW, AMFT, ACMHC.
• Preferred clinical experience: 1-2 years in residential or youth treatment; experience with systemic, relational, or experiential modalities.
• Credentialing readiness: Must have or be willing to obtain a CAQH profile and NPI number.
• Background check:Ability to pass a state background check.
