Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) Amanecer Community Counseling in Los Angeles seeks a Mental Health Therapist to join our Full-Service Partnership team. This hybrid remote position focuses on trauma-informed care in diverse community settings.

The role requires a Master’s degree and CA BBS Registered Associate status, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred. You will provide assessments, therapy, and care coordination, with supervision and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy or related field.
• Must be a Registered Associate (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) in good standing.
• Requires driving on behalf of the company and a valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred for Spanish and English services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide psycho-diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, individual and group psychotherapy.
• Deliver trauma-informed, client-driven services in office, telehealth or community settings.
• Care coordination & collaboration; assist with client transportation when required.
• Crisis support and stabilization; participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Complete DMH documentation accurately and timely.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

As the Mental Health Therapist, you will utilize independent judgment and expertise to provide mental health services that include psycho-diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, individual and group psychotherapy, rehabilitative and case management services. You will provide client-driven, trauma-informed services, either in office, telehealth or in the community, providing crisis support and stabilization. You will have the opportunity to work with underserved communities, removing barriers and stigmas to mental health access, creating more New Beginnings.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education/Background:

• Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy or related field required.
• Must be a Registered Associate (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and be in good standing.
• This position requires driving on behalf of the company. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, meet the company’s motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meets company’s insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) highly preferred. Those assigned to provide services in Spanish and English must be able to speak, read, write, and understand both languages at a professional level to communicate Spanish-speaking clients and partners.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft teams).

HYBRID REMOTE: Position is hybrid remote and requires telehealth and in-person appointments in the field and in the office, meeting with clients, prospects and community partners as needed. Position requires transporting clients as needed. Employee must be available to work during office hours. Employees in crisis programs must be available to participate in the on-call rotation schedule as assigned. Certain programs must be able to provide services in SPA 4 and 6 as needed.
