Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of an RN, responsible for patient safety, welfare, and the implementation of therapeutic milieu and treatment plans.
  • Serve as a patient observer on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require any degree of observation to maximize patient safety.
  • Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate the efficiency of the nursing unit.

FLSA: Non-exempt

Minimum Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent Required
  • Two (2) years of collegiate coursework to include general psychology, interpersonal communication, abnormal psychology, and/or human growth and development Preferred
Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
  • Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire
Minimum Work Experience
  • One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Required Skills
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
