COMHAR, Inc. in Walnutport, PA, is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Technician to join a recovery-focused, multidisciplinary team. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor client well-being, and support treatment goals under licensed supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Associate’s degree or 12 college credits in behavioral health/human services preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with mental health or substance use challenges preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Current Driver's License and ability to operate program vehicles.
• Experience with individuals with substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Observe and monitor client behavior, documenting changes, incidents, and progress.
• Support clients in implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities.
• Facilitate group and recreational activities that promote socialization and skill development.
• Assist clinical staff with assessments, interventions, and care coordination.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all clients.
• Respond to crisis situations calmly according to agency protocols.
• Advocate for clients’ needs and encourage participation in treatment and recovery activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in client records and adhere to confidentiality standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Required to safely operate a motor vehicle for transporting consumers.
