Job summary

Meridell Achievement Center is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Technician to provide direct care and supervision for children and adolescents in a residential setting. You will support daily living activities, monitor mood, assist with transport, and collaborate with the treatment team to implement individualized plans, while prioritizing safety and family education.

Requirements include a high school diploma (some college preferred), valid Texas driver's license, and ability to pass

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and state background test.
• Experience with children and adolescents in a mental health setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to children and adolescents, including daily living activities and medication administration.
• Monitor patient behavior, mood, and emotional state and report changes to the treatment team.
• Assist with patient transportation to appointments and activities as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being, monitor sleep patterns, and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and families on mental health, coping strategies, and life skills.
