Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Mental Health Technician for evening/night shifts (7pm–7am), with two 12-hour shifts per week. The role supports a multidisciplinary team in a 443-bed acute care hospital serving Dallas and Collin counties, including a trauma center and specialized units.

The candidate will assist nursing staff, monitor patients, document observations, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification required.
• 2 years of experience in a mental health related field with direct patient care responsibilities required.
• Annual training in management of aggressive patients required.

Job Description:

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Mental Health Technician assist professional nursing personnel in the care of the patient in a manner that considers the safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment, assisting with the activities of daily living, taking vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documenting observations, assisting with groups, calls, and treatment planning as needed to contribute to the smooth running of the unit.

Your Job Requirements:
