Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support a multidisciplinary team in a high- pace psychiatric unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document observations, and help with treatment planning to promote patient safety and comfort.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, annual training on aggression management, and at least 2 years of direct patient care in mental health.

• Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification required.

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Mental Health Technician assist professional nursing personnel in the care of the patient in a manner that considers the safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment, assisting with the activities of daily living, taking vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documenting observations, assisting with groups, calls, and treatment planning as needed to contribute to the smooth running of the unit.
