Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on the nursing unit under professional staff direction. You will assist with basic patient care and help maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients and families.

Required education options include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA/CMA programs, nursing student progression, or valid military medic/corpsman experience, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility OR CNA program graduate OR CMA program graduate OR nursing student who completed first semester.
• Documented military medic/corpsman experience OR EMT certification/Paramedic license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Required

Job Requirements:

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
• 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility Or
• Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program Or
• Certified Medical Assistant program Or
• Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program Or
• Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman Or
• Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or
• EMT Certification/Paramedic License

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Required
