South Sound Behavioral Hospital in Lacey, WA is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to provide continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling for patients across ages. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will help create a therapeutic environment to support patient well-being.

Responsibilities include accurately recording vital signs, exercising sound judgment in interactions, following treatment plans, conducting MHT-led groups using CPI techniques, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or CNA preferred; or a relevant degree.
• One year of related psychiatric care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mental illness and patient care techniques.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

• Record vital signs accurately and report changes to RN.
• Follow treatment plans outlined by the team; provide information for development and revision.
• Lead MHT-led groups using CPI techniques.
• Assist patients through discharge and daily living activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and practice universal precautions.
