Harris Health is seeking a Psychiatric Technician I to support care activities for patients with mental or behavioral health needs under RN supervision. You will collaborate with the charge nurse and staff nurses to ensure patient care and safety requirements are met.

The role requires knowledge of medical and behavioral health terminology, plus strong communication, organizational, and computer skills. A background in an acute care setting is preferred; eligibility for SAMA and Basic Life

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SAMA certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Psychiatric Technician I certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
• One year related clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supports care activities for patients with mental or behavioral health problems under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Works closely with charge nurse and staff nurses to assure patient care and safety needs are met.
• Demonstrates competence in medical and behavioral health terminology and possesses communication, organizational, and computer skills.
