SpectraCare in Dothan, AL is seeking a Mental Health Technician on a part-time, PRN basis. The role involves supporting residents with daily living activities and transportation, with MAC-certified medication assistance under supervision.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older with a good MVR.

The Relief Mental Health Tech will work on a part time, PRN schedule.

Relief Staff may cross train in our residential and day treatment programs.

Shift times vary based on program needs

Base Pay: $13.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Various patient care activities- i.e., meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with laundry
• Ensure the efficient operation of the facility
• Teaching group and individual basic living skills
• Providing transportation for consumers using system vehicle when required by the program
• Assisting consumers with medication under the MAC certification, supervised by the MAS nurse
• Performing required documentation in an electronic record system

Requirements:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Must be 21 years or older, good MVR, and willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
• Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check
• Previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse setting is preferred
