Job summary

SpectraCare is hiring a Mental Health Technician III for the Crisis Residential Unit in Dothan, AL. The role operates nights from 7pm to 7am, with rotating weekly schedules.

You will support residents with daily tasks, supervision, and therapeutic activities in a structured facility. Responsibilities include documenting in the electronic health record, assisting with medication under nurse supervision, and contributing to a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ years old with a good driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• CPR and MAC certification required upon hire.
• Experience in mental health or substance abuse setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal prep, facility cleaning, and daily task assistance.
• Teach group and individual basic living skills.
• Provide transportation using program vehicle as required.
• Ensure efficient operation of the facility.
• Assist with medication under nurse supervision with MAC certification.
• Complete required documentation in the electronic health record system.

Mental Health Technician III- Crisis Residential Unit

Our Crisis Residential Unit is located in Dothan, Alabama.

Work hours of this position are 7pm-7am

Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Week 2: Monday, Thursday, and Friday

Duties of this position include:

• Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
• Teaching group and individual basic living skills
• Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
• Ensure efficient operation of the facility
• Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
• Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system

Requirements:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Must be 21 years or older, Good MVR, and willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
• Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
