SpectraCare Health Systems, Inc. in Ashford, Alabama is seeking a Mental Health Technician II for Cottonwood Care Home on a 12-hour night schedule from 7pm to 7am.

You will support residents with daily tasks, assist with meals, activities, and document care in the electronic health record. CPR and MAC certification are required within hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care preferred in mental health or substance abuse settings.
• Ability to document care accurately in electronic health records.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire.

Overview

Mental Health Technician II - Cottonwood Care Home. This position will be located at our Cottonwood Care Home in Ashford, Alabama.

12 HOUR PITMAN SCHEDULE 7pm - 7am

WEEK I: TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY

WEEK II: MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY

Responsibilities

• Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
• Teaching group and individual basic living skills
• Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
• Ensure efficient operation of the facility
• Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
• Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED
• Good MVR, willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
• Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
• Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age)
