Job summary

Compassion Springs in Placerville, CA is seeking a Mental Health Technician/Direct Care Staff for a 24/7 residential program. You will facilitate rehabilitation activities, lead group sessions, and assist with meals while documenting incidents under the Administrator's supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, a California driver license, and at least one year of direct care experience with clients who have mental health illness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of full-time direct care experience with clients with mental health illness.
• CPR certification required.
• California driver license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and conduct rehabilitation activities as directed by the Administrator.
• Conduct group social activities and exercises with clients.
• Prepare meals for the clients.
• Keep records and prepare written reports on incidents.
• Communicate ARF rules and objectives to clients and report noncompliance.
• Monitor and maintain line of sight on all clients for safety.
• Report signs of pre-crisis behavior to the Administrator.
• Ensure clients take medications on time as directed.
