Job summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join the treatment team. You will provide continuous patient care and supervision for ages from preschool to geriatrics under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include patient rounds, taking vital signs, emergency response, milieu management, and ensuring safety and order on the unit. Requires High School diploma; CPR and Crisis Intervention training; 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification and Crisis Intervention training are required before starting work.
• One year of related experience preferred in psychiatric patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care and supervision as part of the treatment team.
• Take vitals and document rounds.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and de-escalate patients per policy.
• Assist with milieu management and identify potential safety issues.
• Ensure unit schedules are followed and groups run as posted.
• Conduct searches and report environmental hazards as required.
