Job summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Mental Health Technician to support the treatment team and provide continuous patient care from preschool to geriatrics under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include patient rounds, vital signs, emergency response, milieu management, and adherence to unit schedules. Orientation and rotating day shifts with weekend duties are required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience with psychiatric patient care knowledge preferred.
• CPR and Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a safe environment by conducting and documenting patient rounds.
• Takes vital signs as ordered.
• Responds to emergencies, de-escalates patients, and follows seclusion/ restraint policies.
