Wood County Norwood Health Center is looking for a compassionate Mental Health Technician (MHT) to support residents with daily living activities and treatment plans. You will work under psychiatrists and nurses to provide a safe, respectful environment and assist in therapeutic interventions.

Requirements include a Wisconsin CNA license, CPR certification, and strong communication. Prior mental health experience is preferred; confidentiality and safety are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• Must possess Wisconsin CNA certification and maintain it.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous mental health experience preferred.
• Ability to intervene with highly agitated patients in a therapeutic manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsabilités

• Assess vital signs and document findings per physician orders.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and encourage independence.
• Ensure patient safety and supervise for safety and comfort.
• Provide 1:1 patient interaction and participate in care planning.
• Support treatment plans in collaboration with nurses and psychiatrists.
• Follow safety policies and respond to incidents promptly.
