Job summary

Capella Recovery Center LLC in Georgia is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to provide direct care, supervision, and support to individuals in behavioral health treatment. You will assist with treatment plans, monitor safety, document observations, and maintain a therapeutic milieu under DBHDD standards.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting dignity, recovery, and emotional stability, with opportunities for professional growth in a licensed facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in behavioral health or similar setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• CPI or equivalent crisis prevention training required within policy timeframe.
• Valid Georgia driver's license if driving is required.
• Must meet Georgia background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision and monitoring of patients to ensure safety.
• Observe, document, and report patient behavior and significant events.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Escort patients to appointments and approved activities.
• Assist with crisis de-escalation following DBHDD guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in shift reports and team meetings.
