Job Description

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician 1 to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift: 3-days 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate patients' progress and changes to the RN.
• Monitor patients and environment to promote safety and therapeutic milieu.
• Complete forms and flow sheets accurately; reinforce transition/discharge teaching and home care skills.
• Provide information to patients, families, and visitors; orient patients to the unit and explain rules or restrictions; provide printed information.

Additional Requirements

• Work schedule: 12-hour shifts (3 days, 7am-7pm).
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: Clinical/medical background preferred.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association upon start.
