HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Technician I to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, integrating into the therapeutic team within hospital policies. The role emphasizes compassionate care and patient safety in a high-demand setting.

You will apply therapeutic use of self, nursing processes, and collaboration with health care staff to support patient well-being and respond to needs across care environments.

Formación

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Technician I provides patient care and supervision under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The MHT I provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environmental/instrumentation, and other health care members. The MHT I functions as a member of the therapeutic team within limits as designated by the policies and procedures of Fort Walton-Destin Hospital.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Other-Fingerprint Required
• No experience required
