Job summary

Adirondack Health is seeking a Mental Health Tech to support our multidisciplinary treatment team. You will observe and record patient information relevant to the treatment plan and assist the nurse with patient care on the unit.

You must be able to physically assist patients, handle emergencies, and work effectively as a member of the clinical team. A High School diploma is required and one year of nursing assistant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year nursing assistant experience; behavioral units or geriatrics preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Position Summary:

The Mental Health Tech is a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and provides support for the patient’s therapeutic treatment plan. Primary responsibilities include, observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, assist nurse with nursing care to patients and perform related activities necessary to the general operation of the nursing unit. Must be capable of physically assisting patients, dealing with patient emergencies, and working as a member of a clinical team.

Educational Requirements/Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. One year nursing assistant experience, experience in behavioral units or geriatrics preferred. Strong interpersonal skills.

Pay Range:

$18.40 - $25.56 per hour
