Job summary

Fundamental in Sumter, SC is seeking a Mental Health Technician to work with nursing staff to provide patient care. The role includes directing patient care, assisting in medical records, monitoring safety, and supporting clerical tasks under RN direction.

The position requires a High School diploma, about 1 year of relevant psychiatric facility experience, CPR certification, and reliable transportation, with full-time hours and a comprehensive benefit package.

Qualifications

• In general 1 yr. equivalent work experience in psychiatric/addictive disease treatment facility
• Must be CPR certified
• Must have a reliable source of transportation

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Mental Health Technician works in harmony with the nursing staff to provide care for our patients. In addition, the Mental Health Technician is responsible for:

• Directing patient care
• Assisting with maintaining medical records
• Monitoring patient interactions and safety
• Providing clerical support
• Assisting in patient data collection
• Performing medical procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
