Job summary

PORT ST LUCIE HOSPITAL is seeking compassionate Mental Health Technicians to support patients in behavioral health programs. The MHT provides direct patient care, ensures safety, assists with daily living activities, and supports therapeutic programming.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Florida driver’s license, CPR certification, and strong communication and teamwork skills. A pre-employment Level 2 background check applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current Florida Driver’s License required
• Current CPR Certification required
• Behavioral health coursework preferred
• Previous psychiatric/healthcare/nursing home experience preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis management skills
• Ability to work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges

Responsibilities

Position Summary
