Job summary

CHI St. Vincent is seeking a Mental Health Tech to support Behavioral Health’s front and back office operations. You will assist psychiatrists, patients, and the care management team, ensuring smooth medication management and efficient clinical workflows.

Daily duties include basic medication triage, vital signs, patient registration, insurance processing, and accurate EHR documentation, with emphasis on exceptional customer service and confidentiality. Flexibility to float is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required at hire.
• Basic Life Support CPR within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic medication triage and support services.
• Take vital signs for behavioral health patients.
• Manage front office tasks: reception, patient registration, insurance/copay processing, phone handling.
• Handle back office tasks: refill requests, injections, and accurate EHR documentation.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Mental Health Tech, you will be vital support for Behavioral Health's front and back office functions, assisting psychiatrists, patients, and the care management team. You'll ensure smooth operations, quality medication management, and clinical problem-solving.

Every day you will provide basic medication triage, support services, and take vital signs for behavioral health patients. You'll manage front office reception, patient registration, insurance/copay processing, and telephones, while also handling back office tasks like refill requests, injections, and accurate EHR documentation.

To be successful, you need strong multitasking, meticulous attention to detail, and a rapid ability to learn complex information accurately. Exceptional customer service, calm under pressure, EHR proficiency, and strict confidentiality are essential, along with flexibility to float.
