Job summary

Wellstone Regional Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana, is seeking full-time Mental Health Technicians for 2nd and 1st shifts, with every other weekend work. The role involves active patient care, supervision and modeling under RN supervision, across ages from preschool through geriatrics depending on unit.

Requirements include a High School Diploma (College preferred), Behavioral Health experience (preferred but not required), CPI/CPR training, and flexibility for overtime. CNA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience: Behavioral Health experience preferred but not required.
• Additional Requirements: CPI/CPR training must be completed prior to working any unit independently.
• Hours of Work: 5 days per week on 2nd or 1st shift; every other weekend.

• Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse and participate in treatment teams.

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is seeking dynamic and talented full-time Mental Health Technicians, 5 days per week, 2nd shift (2:45p-11:15p), and 1st shift (6:45a-3:15p), working every other weekend.

The Mental Health Technician function as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. The Mental Health Technician work under the direction of the Registered Nurse. These are non-exempt, hourly, 2nd and 3rd shift positions, eligible for shift differentials. Every other weekend is required.
