Job summary

Community Health Alliance is seeking a friendly, organized Mental Health Technician to join our residential treatment facility. You will be the first point of contact, fostering a welcoming environment while supporting daily operations and client care.

The role emphasizes structured, therapeutic care, medication support, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure safety and continuity of care. Strong communication and proficiency with Microsoft 365 are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License and insurable driving record are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient communication, both verbal and written.
• Comfort with Microsoft 365 apps and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support in a structured, therapeutic, and safe environment for clients.
• Monitor and assist with self-administration of medication per policies.
• Implement individualized care plans focusing on client goals.
• Observe, document behaviors, mood changes, and progress for the treatment team.
• De-escalate crises using approved intervention techniques.
• Facilitate group activities to promote independence and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality regulations.
• Maintain clear, professional documentation of interactions and interventions.

What You'll Do

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Reliable transportation
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment or related field is preferred, but not required (on-the-job training provided)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and adhere to confidentiality regulations
• Capable of strict adherence to policies and procedures
• Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
• Competently communicates effectively verbally and in writing
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams
• Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screen as required by federal and state regulations
