Friends Hospital, the nation’s oldest private psychiatric hospital in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a Mental Health Technician Supervisor to oversee Psychiatric Technicians and Counselor Aides on inpatient units and to partner with Unit Managers and senior leadership to ensure coordinated, high-quality care on a structured campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in human services or direct care setting required.
• Alternate: HS diploma/GED with 2 years in human services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise Psychiatric Technicians and Counselor Aides on inpatient units.
• Coordinate with Unit Managers and department directors to ensure efficient, coordinated services.
• Serve as a liaison to senior leadership to maintain high-quality patient care and administrative supervision.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in the areas of human services or High school diploma and minimum of (5) year experience working in a direct care setting.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus 2 years of experience in human service field.

Friends Hospital is the nation's oldest private psychiatric hospital, located on a beautiful 100-acre campus in Philadelphia, PA. Friends Hospital offers a continuum of care including level of care assessments; specially designed inpatient units for adolescents, adults, and older adults; and a private residential rehabilitation program. Friends Hospital is easily accessed via public transportation and has free, safe, on-site parking.

The Mental Health Technician Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Psychiatric Technicians and Counselor Aides in collaboration with the Unit Managers. This position provides administrative and technical supervision to all Psychiatric Technicians on inpatient units. The Supervisor is a liaison to department directors and senior leadership to ensure services are provided in a coordinated and efficient manner.
