Job summary

Compass Intervention Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in Memphis, TN. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-focused care and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, data/documentation, behavior management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• SAMA training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a multidiscipline team approach.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Maintain accurate and complete data and records.
• Intervenes with suicidal gestures and inappropriate behaviors using proper techniques.
• Therapeutically communicate with patients and help develop boundaries and social skills.
• Directs/redirects behaviors with appropriate consequences.
• Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of patients.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
