Job summary

Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician (MHT) and Driver to provide compassionate care to patients hospitalized for psychiatric and emotional disorders. The role also includes safe transportation to and from the facility, supporting the care team, and contributing to individualized patient care plans.

The MHT will coordinate with nursing staff, multitask effectively, and ensure patient safety throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR (American Heart or American Red Cross), Handle with Care and Abuse and Neglect training provided
• Active driver's license required
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting or related fields
• Ability to multi-task with strong time management
• Must pass background check, MVR, drug screen and provide positive references
• Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to psychiatric inpatients and support treatment plans.
• Provide safe transportation to and from the facility as needed.
• Maintain ongoing communication with nursing staff and care teams.
• Assist in development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
