Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience as a patient care assistant in a mental health hospital setting.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required
• De-escalation Training Certification required

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplies and equipment for patient care are available and organized.
• Identify and use appropriate PPE.
• Respond promptly to patient and family requests.
• Monitor and record patient information and stats.
• Provide activities of daily living assistance and non-medication pain management.
• Follow sterile technique and skin care protocols.
• Assist with personal hygiene and elimination needs.
• Maintain code system readiness and participate in de-escalation as needed.
• Perform other duties and maintain reliable attendance.
