Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) / Driver for our El Paso behavioral health unit.

The role provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and modeling to patients across age groups, while transporting patients safely to and from the facility. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of related psychiatric care experience, a valid driver's license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline.
• Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Must maintain a valid, class-specific driver’s license applicable to the transportation of patients.
• Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care and supervision as part of the treatment team.
• Transport patients to and from the facility with safety and observation.
• Model professional behavior and interact with patients across age ranges while ensuring safety.
