Oceans Behavioral Hospital Lake Charles is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support nursing staff in providing compassionate care to adults and seniors with anxiety, depression, and other mental health needs.

You will perform routine patient care under licensed supervision, conduct vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, ensure safety, and document observations accurately to aid treatment decisions.

Competenze

• Experience applying de-escalation and therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to monitor vital signs and document observations accurately.
• Capable of following policies, procedures and safety rules.

Mansioni

• Adheres to professional standards and regulations for patient care.
• Supports nursing staff in patient care and observation.
• Documents vital signs, ADLs and intake/output with accuracy.
• Ensures safe environment and proper meal and dietary considerations.
• Assists with mobility, laundry and daily activities as needed.
• Communicates patient status and follow-ups to the nurse.
