Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Monroe is seeking Full-Time/PRN Mental Health Technicians (MHT) and CNAs with experience in psychiatric care to join our hospital. The 82-bed acute care facility provides specialized mental and behavioral health services for the geriatric population, with inpatient and outpatient options.

As a valued team member you will obtain, record, and communicate essential clinical information, and provide clinical services within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in geriatric psychiatric settings preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Resumes with work history required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the physical, psychological, emotional, and well-being of each person served.
• Assist with ADLs, meals, patient hygiene, room cleanliness, and other patient care activities as assigned.
• Monitor therapy groups under supervision of licensed staff.
• Document data relative to patient records.
• Perform routine patient care under direction of a licensed nurse.
• Launder patient clothing and clean equipment.
• Promote patient safety and infection control.

We are currently seeking Full-Time/PRN Mental Health Techs (MHT) and/or CNAs with experience in psychiatric care to join our esteemed team.

Freedom Behavioral Monroe/West Monroe facility is an 82-bed acute care hospital dedicated to providing specialized mental and behavioral health services for the geriatric population. The hospital delivers a comprehensive range of care, including both inpatient and outpatient treatment options, designed to support the unique needs of older adults.

As a valued member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. In this position you would obtain, record, and communicate important clinical information, and provide clinical services within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Contribute to the physical, psychological, emotional, and well-being of each person served.
• Assist with ADL’s, meals, assisting with patient hygiene, room cleanliness and other patient care activities as assigned.
• Monitor therapy groups under the direct supervision of Licensed/Certified professionals.
• Contribute to patient records by collecting and documenting data relative to patient.
• Perform a variety of clinical and patient care duties under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Perform routine patient care and related duties, including laundering of patients clothing and cleaning of equipment.
• Promotes and practices patient safety, infection control and proper body mechanics.

Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for geriatric psychiatric patients strongly preferred
• CNA Certification preferred
• Updated resumes with work history required
