Job summary

Professional Services Group is seeking a part-time Youth & Adult Support Specialist to provide skill development and support for youth and adult clients under the CCS program. The role includes individual meetings, recreational activities, crisis intervention, school support, and parent contact.

Office is in Green Bay, WI with local travel and mileage reimbursement. Part-time hours may grow to full-time as caseload increases, with hybrid/remote hours possible when client visits aren’t scheduled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field is required.
• Reliable daily transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance required.
• Previous experience with at-risk youth and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze youth capabilities, strengths and problems to determine services needed.
• Implement, evaluate and review youth goals with families and team members.
• Advocate for youth in school, community, and during crisis situations.
• Attend youth/family team meetings.
• Organize and facilitate individual meetings and pro-social activities.

JOB SUMMARY

As the Youth & Adult Support Specialist, you will provide individual skill development and support to both youth and adult clients referred through the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Program. You'll help clients achieve their individualized goals by assisting them in their journey toward success. Our program is all about making a difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We offer a range of services, including individual meetings, fun recreational activities that build social skills, crisis intervention, school support, and parent contact.

This position will be part-time to start, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position by growing your client caseload. This is a great opportunity for both experienced professionals seeking part-time hours or recent graduates looking to transition into the human services/mental health field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE YOUTH/ADULT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

• Analyze youth capabilities, strengths and problems to determine the services required to meet the unique needs of youth.
• Implement, evaluate and review youth goals in collaboration with team members, youth and their families.
• Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for youth in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
• Attend youth/family team meetings.
• Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
• Safely transport clients as needed.

LOCATION

Office is located in Green Bay, WI. Local travel is required throughout Brown County area to meet with clients within the home or other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement. Flexibility is available for some hybrid/WFH hours when client visits are not scheduled, for documentation.

SCHEDULE

Part-time leading to full-time. Hours are varied based upon client availability, typically during business hours Monday-Friday between 9:00am and 6:00pm, with occasional weekends.

SALARY

$22.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
• Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
• Previous experience working with at-risk youth and families is preferred.
