Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our team in Tehachapi, CA. This hands-on role involves delivering basic behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients with mental or developmental disabilities.

You will perform daily rounds, monitor patient status, and assist under RN/MD supervision with medications and treatments within licensure. An active LPT license and BLS certification are required, with 1 year of LPT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• 1 year LPT experience preferred.
• Current and active LPT license is required.

Responsibilities

• Give a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patient.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor patients with signs/symptoms of mental illness.
• Under supervision of an RN or MD, perform psychiatric nursing procedures, including administering medications and treatments, injections, and charting vital signs within licensure scope.
