Job summary

San Diego, United States – Zohorecruit seeks a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide basic behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patients. The role includes daily rounds, patient monitoring, and adherence to licensure standards.

Under general supervision of an RN or MD, you will perform psychiatric nursing procedures such as administering medications, taking vitals, and other basic nursing tasks within the scope of your licensure.

Qualifications

• Current and Active Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) License.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association preferred?
• One year LPT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic level nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patients.
• Conduct daily rounds and monitor patients showing signs of mental illness.
• Under supervision of RN or MD, perform psychiatric nursing procedures, including administering medications and treatments, injections, measuring vital signs.
