Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) seeks a Mental Health Specialist III for Addiction Services. The role involves supporting treatment teams, providing direct care, transporting clients, and participating in crisis intervention to maintain a safe milieu.

Minimum education requires college credits in mental health and several years of experience; drivers license and NJ licensure as applicable are needed. On-site work is required with shift 3p-11p.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant full-time mental health experience or equivalent with specified college credits.
• Active New Jersey certification/licensure as required for Social Work if holding a degree.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment and random drug/alcohol tests required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care responsibilities for consumers/patients as assigned.
• Maintain consumer records in UBHC policy and accrediting standards.
• Transport individuals to treatment and related activities.
• Participate in group activities and crisis intervention.
