Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) is seeking a Mental Health Specialist III to ensure resident safety and assist with activities of daily living in the Community Based Services – Residential Department-Outpatient at UBHC. The role requires direct care and adherence to unit policies, with evening and weekend hours and on-site work.

• Must have three years of relevant full-time paid experience in the mental health field or one year plus two years of college credits in a related field.
• Must be able to travel to meetings and various locations during the week.
• Holiday, evening, weekend and overnight availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care services to individuals in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of UBHC and unit policies and procedures.
• Works cooperatively with others and participates in daily living activities for residents.
