Dungarvin is seeking a Mental Health Specialist II to work directly with individuals with complex behavioral and mental health needs in our ABS group homes. You will provide person-centered supports, document observations, and contribute to a safe, structured environment while following treatment and behavior support plans.

The role includes crisis response, collaboration with case managers and staff, and ongoing professional development. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with individuals with chronic mental illness or a degree in a mental-health field.
• Must be 18+ (21+ in some programs).
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with intensive behavioral and mental-health needs.
• Follow behavior and treatment plans, crisis-prevention strategies, and restraints as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe, structured living environment and assist with daily living tasks.
• Document services and observations using electronic systems.
• Monitor behavioral changes and communicate with supervisors during crises.
• Support family/appointments, assist with medication administration when allowed.
• Participate in team meetings and train new staff.
• Maintain home safety and follow emergency procedures.
